About Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame
The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame recognizes men, women, families, organizations, and traditions that have made lasting contributions to rodeo, cutting, ranching, Western entertainment, equine culture, and related fields. Its mission connects modern competitive rodeo with the working-ranch skills and values from which many rodeo events developed.
Before its current renovation closure, the museum presented personal memorabilia and interpretive displays associated with more than 150 honorees, including champion competitors, ranching families, performers, veterinarians, and supporters of the Western lifestyle. The organization is now designing and building a next-generation museum experience intended to expand how those stories are preserved and presented.
The Hall of Fame remains an important part of the Stockyards' Western heritage, but the museum is not presently open for public visits. Travelers should consult the official website for renovation progress and reopening announcements before including it as an active stop.
